Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Brown Butter and Sage
A wise sage once said, "Do not mistake me for the sage in this sweet potato gnocchi recipe." So true. Definitely, use fresh sage for this dish starring our NEW Sweet Potato Gnocchi. Its distinct earthy flavor adds a delicate depth to the sweetness of these buttery dumplings. Wiser words have probably been spoken. More delicious ones have not.
Ingredients
- 1 package Cappello’s Sweet Potato Gnocchi
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage
- Pinch of sea salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh sage (to garnish)
Instructions
- Melt butter in small saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook until butter solids are brown, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.
- Add chopped sage, and remove from heat. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook Sweet Potato Gnocchi according to package directions.
- Transfer sage butter to a skillet set over medium-high heat. Add gnocchi. Sauté until gnocchi are heated through, about 6 minutes.
- Serve warm garnished with fresh sage.
